Red Hills is a wonderful destination if you feel like getting out the city and exploring the area. Situated in an old country house, this restaurant has charm, warm hospitality, and an excellent menu. You will find it 30 miles outside of Portland on Highway 99 West, and it is truly a great stop in the middle of wine-country. A simple, yet constantly changing dinner menu offers European dishes that are drenched in herbs and perfectly prepared. The Penne with olives, capers and Montrachet cheese is fabulous, and you can't go wrong with the beef tenderloin. There are plenty of delicious desserts to entice you as well as an outstanding wine list. Do take the time to visit this country jewel.
